The Director Grant Talbot has a depth of industry experience, knowledge, and many happy clients. Transparency with rates for the levels of service that are priced correctly for client satisfaction. Approved Corporate clients receive 30-day accounts.

We service all types of businesses from Corporate clients, licensed venues / Events and or Builders/construction companies.

Security Guards Melbourne, ensure only the highest level of service is provided to our clients throughout Melbourne and regional Victoria. We believe clients and our services can have a profitable, sustainable, and enjoyable long-term relationship between customers through to employees.

Our Staff is monitored by a range of technology with GPS MAPPING systems to provide service verification and quality assurance across our guarding operations, this same technology which also gives the logs and movements of personnel on-site monitored by our operations managers 24 hours per day.

STAFF TIME MANAGEMENT

Managing our Security staff is made simple with the use of smart technology on staff’s mobile phones. We are able to check on the Guards 24/7, this app also enables us to do payroll through the data received at the end of each working week. This app also provides the client satisfaction that the guard was physically on-site between the scheduled times with the GPS location tagging. Lone workers also need to check in every 30 minutes with the app, this notifies the operations manager that the guard is safe and that they are still on site. Ad hoc jobs also require photo evidence of before and after site checks.

GPS Location Tagging

  • Map the geographical location where employees punch in and out from.
  • Track employee time and attendance.
  • Track time spent across multiple projects or clients.

Advanced Reporting

– Managers have access to multiple online reports to track attendance and calculate pay.

– Reports can be exported to different formats allowing for easy integration with Payroll systems.

STAFF ONBOARDING

As new guards come on board with us, we ensure they spend their first shift on a buddy shift. This is with another guard who has worked for us for many many years, that has a great understanding of policy and procedure, as well as the levels of service we offer. Once all the boxes have been ticked and competency has been confirmed to be an acceptable level then we start finding them the full-time position with a suitable client.

NO SPLATTER EFFECT

The ‘Splatter Effect’ is known for when companies just send whatever is on the books for Sub Contract work. This is unacceptable due to the client, not having the flexibility of assurance that they are getting someone suitable for the job, or a guard that has the skill sets required for the client’s needs. Currently seen on recent media, with the COVID19 quarantine debacle, we are not part of that, we do not want to be part of any splatter effect type of security guard services.

CULTURALLY COMPETENT, SAFE, AND SENSITIVE PRACTICE

Our Ethical hiring is based on merit with special care taken to ensure procedures are free from biases related to a candidate’s age, race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, and other personal characteristics that are unrelated to their work ethic and/or performance. We are proud to have such a wide spectrum of cultures and orientations. Empowering and advocating for women to take on lead roles as part of our gender equality approach.

Integrity, Objectivity Professional, Competence, Confidentiality, Professional Behaviour.

ENVIRONMENTAL STATEMENT

VEHICLES

Car pollution is one of the major causes of global warming. Victoria’s Security patrol vehicles each year emit carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases, which contribute to the total global warming pollution issues. Greenhouse gases trap heat in the atmosphere, which causes worldwide temperatures to rise. What we aim to change in 2021 and 2022 as part of our participation to change the mindset is by introducing Plug-in Electric Hybrid Vehicles (PHEV) Patrol vehicles and Electric Tesla Patrol Vehicles. Clients that are like-minded can select the option of our Environmental responsible mobile patrols and services. Understandably these options may come at a slightly higher, cost but the rewards of knowing that our pollution emissions whilst carrying out patrols are zero emissions.

OFFICE / ADMIN

The irony here is that we went paperless three years ago and only own one simple printer when we need to use it at the last resort, to print a document that can not be signed electronically. All our accounting payroll and staff time management are all done through apps and cloud-based technologies to keep everything running in ‘real time’ without using any paper waste, which creates pollution. Our head office also has solar which runs a good portion of the minimalist amount of appliances if and when needed and soon in 2021 more solar is being installed with battery backup for after hours. We do not buy plastic bottles, we simply filter our water and use reusable containers (especially coffee cups). These is the principles that we use for when we train our staff to follow the same when out in the field. Takeaway coffees, takeaway food all fundamentally contribute to the environmental shortfalls in today’s society that generates tons and tons of waste. We encourage our staff to save money and time to take their own food to sites prepared at home and if on patrol in the vehicle.

ACCOUNTING COMPLIANCE

A vital contributing factor to our success since 2006 has been our expertise in managing our staff and in accounting. With the use of software XERO, we have the luxury of ‘real time with all staff hours and payroll. An advantage of this software is its reputation with the ATO and being the most preferred for superannuation funds.

Every twelve months our office is audited by the Victorian Police, licensing division. As part of their compliance requirements for a licensed firearm and security business holder. This includes historical invoices for all clients, payslips for employees, and superannuation contributions. This thorough inspection of our business records is simplified and painless with a well-managed back-of-office system, using the current advancements of apps on a cloud base.

We Look After Our Staff

Pay Guide – Security Services Industry Award [MA000016]. We strictly pay our guards by the award and if not above the award rates for exceptional guards that have advanced ability to customer service. Our clients understand that if the job is a full-time position they will be charged accordingly as per full-time Guards rates, casual and Adhoc jobs are charged at a Casual Rate.

There are several levels of classification for Guards 1 to 5, that is based on level of company and customer service, others like supervisors are paid well above these levels.

For example, a high standard Security officer at level 5 is paid $913.80 plus Superannuation plus Holiday loading, minimal Security officer level 1 is paid $832.20 plus Superannuation plus Holiday loading. Full transparency with clients is the best for ongoing future business.

Clients can feel rest assured that the staff supplied under contract from us are paid correctly, over our 14 years of being an employer we have not had one incident at the fair work ombudsmen for any payment dispute or any dismissals.
